I DO EXIST! [Jun. 5th, 2014|03:47 pm]

*Smoke bomb goes off* I come with tidings from...ME!
No seriously I keep forgetting I have LJ and even forgot the password for a...year? I've been going to cons in rapid succession Attended Clockwork Alchemy in San Jose 2 weeks ago and am gearing up for Phoenix Comicon starting as soon as my ride is conscious. If for some bizzare reason one of the people who might see it is there here's my costume:
Maeve002_40814
I'm rather fond of Dresden Files and decided to cosplay Maeve. Going to make eye contact with Jim Butcher as I have him sign Cold Days for me.

Also I've been calling myself Rhaina these days and you can find me as Rhaina Kincaid all over the place...also as Maddi Mischief but that's going to be more for "naked stuff"

Okay I'll admit it I've been over at Facebook and Twitter rather than posting here. To give you a run down on how things are I miss everyone I left behind in California still but am very happy for my ex Gnat on his recent engagement as a friend (as an exgirlfriend I'm sad but not bitter). I'm sort-of-but-not-officially engaged to my current boyfriend and having an interesting time with my non-conventional relationships besides. Ben and I got an apartment together and are now working on populating it with shelving.

I've started making papermache masks....and I'm good at it. which is good because it's Halloween and holiday season and I recently became unemployed and need to pay bills.

The Sonata Arctica Concert [Apr. 26th, 2010|01:38 am]

I just got in it's been an awesome night I may have gone alone and only vaguely known one person in the crowd possibly two. I cant remember the first band's name but they're local and the bassist and drummer were yummy and the band that followed was called Powerglove and did heavy metal covers of my childhood in foam and leather costumes. I got a spot right at the stage for the concert. The "distraction" shirt was a good idea I got to assist the REALLY hot lead singer of Mutiny Within off the stage into the crowd, Sonata Arctica kicked ass and the girls around me were awesome and super amused by Tony staring at my chest while being silly behind Elias and then when Tony made a smart ass comment about women not being able to read maps I...umm... kinda flipped him off and his reply was an eyebrow wiggle and "yeah". I'm extremely wound up though, kept having flash backs from the first time I saw them live.

Weird dream [Feb. 28th, 2010|09:46 am]

[I am feeling... |crushedcrushed]

Does waking up in tears make something a nightmare or is my subconscious just bullying me? I rarely remember dreams but in this case I wanted to call the person up and ask why they're avoiding me. If you actually are avoiding me I'd advise to tell me as such and the reason so my brain will stop tormenting me.

Last weekend [Feb. 23rd, 2010|12:37 pm]

[I am feeling... |bouncybouncy]

Last weekend I went to a party Saturday and I helped host one on Sunday. The Saturday one was interesting, made some new friends, met author Lee Harrington, and got to have a cuddle pile with several of my friends. Sunday my roommates and I hosted a board game and video game party and we're thinking the next one will have to be a Saturday night in 2-3 months. I'm glad my boyfriend doesn't mind I flirt with everyone; to be fair he was flirting with other people too though.

There was TONS of chocolate left over from the party but I missed out on the ginger cookies baked with hunks of real candied ginger in them.

Well, got Kristen when I called my mom's cell. That was the most awkward 2 minutes of my life.

A quick update [Jan. 22nd, 2010|07:06 am]
Akonite
[I am feeling... |chipperchipper]

Life is fairly balanced between great and eh. I have a boyfriend who's sweet and cuddly but he and I don't completely meet each others' needs as well as some other relationships did. I've developed a pattern of dating men I'm more socially outgoing than, it seems. I'm still job hunting but living fairly independent and with roommates that forgive my hermit-like ways when home. I've had someone offer to trade me paints for helping paint their miniatures; my motivation behind this is that once I have my own paints I can charge money for my services. Down side to living in a basement is that I can't tell the time of day; bright side is I sleep as much as I need and get more rest for my time out.
